Hi there, my name is Ellie and I’m a young woman who loves learning taekwando and playing the violin. I graduated university in 2013 with a BA (Hons) degree in contemporary performance but I don’t work in the performing arts world.
For the past 4-5 years I have worked with adults and children who have have learning disabilities. However, recently my career goals have changed somewhat and my long term goal is to retrain as a councillor with an eye for working with young adults or children in their teenage years.
I have a visual impairment (a condition called albinism), epilepsy and moderate depression with symptoms of social anxiety and PTSD.
The aim of my blog is to highlight my own personal opinions and experiences of living as a visually impaired woman who identifies as part of the LGBT community who suffers from a mental health condition. All posts are my own personal thoughts on these subjects.
